Confidence & self-belief
Recognising strengths and developing greater belief in themselves.
For parents & carers · One-to-one support
Personal, practical support that gives them time to understand themselves, recognise their strengths and find a way forward.
They may be finding confidence, friendships, motivation or organisation difficult. They might be navigating change, struggling with everyday demands, or simply benefit from dedicated time to understand themselves and how they work best.
Denali Development provides structured one-to-one support, built around the individual young person – giving them space to explore what’s getting in the way, recognise their strengths and develop practical ways forward.
Could Denali help?
Every starting point is different. Sessions can explore one area or a combination of what matters most to them.
Recognising strengths and developing greater belief in themselves.
Managing setbacks, navigating challenges and finding ways to move forward.
Communication, boundaries, friendships and relationships with others.
Motivation, planning, executive functioning and managing everyday demands.
Understanding themselves, their needs, their strengths and what helps them thrive.
Support doesn’t have to start with a crisis or a diagnosis.
A young person may simply benefit from having dedicated one-to-one time to build confidence, understand themselves better and develop strategies that work for them. The programme
The parent-funded programme includes six 50-minute individual sessions, usually taking place weekly.
There isn’t a fixed script.
We start by understanding the young person, what’s important to them and what they would like to be different. Sessions are practical and conversational, with tools and strategies introduced where they may be useful.
What’s included?
A free initial conversation with you to understand what’s happening, answer any questions and decide whether Denali feels like the right fit.
Six individual sessions with your young person, plus a parent/carer check-in.
A final review to reflect on progress and discuss possible next steps.
Trust & communication
With appropriate communication with you.
Trust is an important part of one-to-one support. Young people need to know they have space to speak openly without everything they say being reported back to their parent or carer.
We’ll agree how communication will work before sessions begin and keep you appropriately involved throughout the programme.
If something is shared that raises a safeguarding concern, this will always be acted upon in line with Denali Development’s safeguarding procedures.

The complete programme
The initial conversation is free, with no obligation to continue.
Where sessions take place
Sessions are arranged in a suitable private space within the Rugby area, with location considered around the individual young person and family.
Where appropriate, sessions may also be possible at the young person’s school, subject to agreement with the school.
We’ll discuss the most suitable option during the initial conversation.
Is Denali right for your young person?
The first step is simply a conversation about your young person, what’s happening at the moment and what you’d like support to help with.
If Denali isn’t the right kind of support, I’ll be open about that too.
